Quick Start (Non-Technical)

Get InsiderShield working in a few steps. This guide is for admins who are setting up the account for their organization.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Sign up in the app.
  2. Verify your email.
  3. Create your organization when prompted.
  4. Select your compliance framework (SOC 2 or NIST CSF).

Step 2: Invite Your Team (Optional)

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Team.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter their email and choose a role.

Step 3: Connect Integrations

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Integrations.
  2. Connect the tools your company uses.
  3. Click Sync Now after each connection.

Step 4: Review Findings

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Findings.
  2. Open any critical or high findings first.
  3. Follow the recommended fix in each finding.

Step 5: Policies

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Policies.
  2. Upload existing policies or generate with AI (paid plans).
  3. Ensure required policies for your framework are approved.

Step 6: Track Progress

  • Use the Controls page to track which security controls are implemented.
  • Use Reports to share your progress with leadership.
